Endovalley has been the talk of the town over the past month. The internet media storm that followed the rediscovery of Endovalley has been nothing short of routine for us here in Boulder. I remember just last year, around this time, everyone had their undies in a bundle over Lincoln Lake and the new development at Mt. Evans.

This year its the same story just different location. Media sources blowing things out of proportion, blogs creating comment threads a mile long, death threats from the “locals”, etc… you know the drill. New attention given to an area always brings out the best in people so we had to go have a look and see what all the fuss was about.

Turns out, this little area is perfect for the annoying transition from Front Range bouldering in the winter to summer bouldering in the alpine zones. There is very little snow at Endovalley, there are hard rock climbs to work on, and everyone seems to be motivated while we wait for the conditions to improve at the higher elevations.  Over the past week, I have been heading up to try new boulders with Carlo Traversi and Jonny Hork and we were able get some video of just about everything up there.  Carlo go a hard FA, Jonny put up one of the best V9s in RMNP and fun was had by all.  It was the who’s who of bouldering at Endovalley over the past few weeks and there are plenty of hard rocks to climb as a result.

Check out the little video piece I put together and get up to the Park and enjoy some new boulders!  The hike is only 5 minutes!!!

A storm rolls into the valley…
